During the course of the day, Pepa receives several visits in her apartment, which she wants to rent: her friend Candela (María Barranco), who is on the run and in need of help after hosting some terrorists at her home; Carlos (Antonio Banderas), Iván's son, with his girlfriend Marisa (Rossy de Palma), who casually came to see the apartment; Lucía (Julieta Serrano), Iván's ex-wife and Carlos' mother, who has just escaped from a mental asylum and is now seeking revenge for being abandoned; a couple of policemen who are investigating the terrorists, alerted by an anonymous phone call; and the technician who has to fix the phone that Pepa had previously thrown out the window.
